We are seeking a motivated individual who enjoys variety in their work to manage our IT infrastructure, drive the achievement of ISO27001 and SOC2 certifications, deliver the optimal computing environment for our team and support our engineering team where necessary in providing the best cloud infrastructure to underpin our product and delight our customers. We are a quickly growing, cloud-first company with a minimum hardware footprint in the office. The role will report to the Operations Director.

This is a fast paced, ever changing environment that will require the individual to multi-task and maintain a hands-on role. We work as a team, leveraging the collective experience and knowledge of everyone here, and are supportive to others when required, no matter the task, but this does not slow down our decision making or ability to executive individually. You should take ownership of your work and be proud of the company you are building.

🏗️The type of work we expect

• Infrastructure management: assess our current infrastructure, identify risks, standardise hardware and software where appropriate, support our product engineering team where necessary, develop a plan to bring the company to a higher level of maturity and then implement it.
• Security: assess our security posture, address any key issues identified and implement a short term plan for improvement. Drive our project to achieve ISO27001 and SOC2 certifications. Monitor and report on project progress. This project will be supported by the Operations Director.
• Compliance: ensure we achieve and maintain our compliance obligations. Monitor and report on compliance. Support data privacy compliance (detailed Data Privacy expertise not required, a ‘can-do’ attitude is more important). As a financially regulated company, we also have financial regulatory obligations but this work will be supported by another specialist role.
• IT Operations: manage IT budget, procurement, licensing, supplier management, asset management, on-boarding, off-boarding, capacity planning, incident management, server patching, etc.
• Other: we want to work with people who are flexible and comfortable with uncertainty (agile), that identify company gaps and problems to fix. You shouldn’t be afraid to weigh in on employee onboarding, internal trainings, workshops, compliance procedures and risk management processes.

What you will need to be successful:

Background requirements:

• 3+ years experience in a similar role, ideally within a tech or fintech company
• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or have equivalent experience
• Proven track record of developing policies and processes, and ensuring that impacted teams were bought into the process
• Experience in managing projects, stakeholder management, and communicating updates to senior management
